How does the sliding scale process work?

In order to be considered for birth services you must first schedule a visit in office. We will discuss your health history and current pregnancy to determine if you are low-risk and a good candidate for out of hospital birth as well as answer any questions. After that appointment you may apply for birth services within the client portal.

We utilize a sliding scale for birth services. The sliding scale ranges from $1800 - $2800 and includes the midwife, birth assistant(s), apprentice midwives, an in-home 2 day postpartum visit and more. Additional details are included in the Financial Agreement.
